It’s amazing how the closer you get to a really important thing - event, deadline, or in my case wedding - all other things gradually grind to a halt. And that’s the way it has to be, of course. When something really matters, you have to get it right. All those other things, from getting a good night’s sleep to maintaining a blog, are inevitably less important.

And it’s that last bit that people forget (and that I am constantly trying to remember). In 10 years, 12 months and even three week’s time, what I will remember is my awesome wedding day. I won’t be thinking about, to use the same examples, that morning I felt so knackered I could barely get out of bed, or those blog posts that never got written.

It’s about priorities, yeah? More than that, it’s about not slapping yourself with the guilty slipper for working hard on the one thing that matters most to you and your family. That’s what you’re supposed to be doing. So don’t worry. Get on with it.
